Islands of Care (caruna top)

A collaborative intervention between Spa for Spirits and Through Art We Care for the Caruna top in Brussels.

Where art and care meet, a new space for well-being emerges. In this artistic intervention, Through Art We Care and Spa for Spirits investigate how creation, connection, and sensory experience can contribute to a more caring world.

Spa for Spirits, an ‘unconventional wellness center’ led by performers Leonie Buysse and Lili Vanderstraeten, creates sensory ‘islands’ where, through immersive rituals, they aim to offer a counterbalance to a digital, individualized society and invite physical and sensory shared experiences.

Together, we present an artistic intervention that opens the senses and the imagination. It offers a moment of stillness and embodiment; an invitation to give new meaning to how we can interact with each other in a caring way by feeling and experiencing through care, because a more caring future requires not only new structures, but also new ways of feeling, connecting, and ‘being’.
